James Hurtado - Guitarist, Vocalist, Singer/Songwriter James Hurtado started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and started singing soon afterwards. he started playing Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen's styles and later started
mixing his own rock and Funk influences with Latin and Reggae. He has
been influenced by Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin, Santana, The Buena
Vista Social Club, Sublime, Prince, Jose Feliciano and Bob Marley just to
name a few. James also loves Old School hip hop and Reggaeton and throws a little bit of that flavor into the music from time to time as well. James has been playing professionally for 20 years and has shared the stage with Daniel Valdez and has also performed at the Winter Park Music Festival as well as the Taste of Colorado with local Denver group Jazz del Barrio as well as the James Hurtado Project, Huerfano, Sol Kidz and The D-Town All Stars. Currently James is consistently gigging in the Front Range area from Castle Rock up to Longmont with most of the shows in the Denver Metro area as a Solo act and some shows as “The Ronnie James Duo”. In his Solo Shows he mixes electric and acoustic guitars into his sound with Live Loops and pre-programmed music as well.
